During this assignment, I learn about the supervision models. I was able to express my preferred supervision model and why it fits best for my supervision style.

This document demonstrate I have learned the verbiage necessary to create an inform consent towards my supervisees.

During this document we can see the reference of a supervisee I supervise currently during her practicum and internship as a mental health counselor.

This is a certificate I attain in the mandated 12hr class to become a qualified supervisor in the State of Florida. The class gave me insight unto the supervision model as well as the laws and regulations to be a qualifying supervisor in the state of Florida.

During this evaluation, I can see how I have attained the knowledge and skills to be a supervisor. These evaluations are important as feedback is critical for my professional growth.

This is the final evaluation from my site supervision. In this document Ican observed how I exceeded in the supervision skills.

This document is a reference from register intern I supervise in the state of Florida. She was kind to provide feedback to the supervision she receives from me.

Supervision is an integral part of the development of excellent professional practice. It provides opportunities for counselors to stretch and grow, fostering self-awareness of their strengths and vulnerabilities. Since the supervision process is primarily concerned with the enhancement and improvement of the counselor’s competencies, its ultimate benefit is that it will provide greater services to the client. Affiliated with CACREP approved counselor education programs to guide my supervision as a faculty, administrators, and site. The supervision identity will provide accountability to promote ethical training and practice for supervisors and my supervisors. It is believed that through non-biased, and authentic feedback trainees and supervises will learn to put clients' interests above their own. â€‹The Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) is set to provide professional growth and ongoing support for counselors as a product of professional supervision. The importance of supervisory training is outlined in its standards that govern both counselor education programs and the clinical training environments in which they take place. There are many models of how to conduct counseling supervision; some are directive, some non-directive, and others collaborative. My preferred method is the discrimination model. The discrimination models allow me to utilize different hats/roles which can benefit the counseling in training process.

I had some challenges learning to tailor the discrimination model, avoiding the existence of a power differential between supervisor and supervisees which can lead to an unequal relationship.  I have always had the ability to provide dual roles such as professor, supervisor, and mentor however I was adjusting to the academic setting as a CES. I learned to keep the CES CACREP ethical standards while practicing the supervisory role. I plan in continuing to craft my CES skills in continuing proffesional development to provide supervisees with a comprehensive proffesional development in the counseling profession. Through the process of doctoral education, I learned the history and trajectory of supervision, my supervision model, and the ethical principles according to CACREP standards.
